TOWN BOARD MEETING – July 10, 2012

The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Hubbard Town Board was called to order by the Chairman Kenneth Schulz on Tuesday, July 10th 2012 at 7:30 PM at the Town Hall in Neda with the following present:  Chairman Schulz, Supervisors James E. Persha and Daniel Guenterberg, Clerk Naomi Kriewald, Treasurer Rebecca Schulz, Constable David Feller and members of the public Melvin Pankow, Dennis Feller, David Hechimovich, Ron Marek and Gene Goodearle.

Following the verification of the publication and posting of the meeting notice and the posting of the Agenda the minutes of the previous Town Board meeting were read and approved by a motion made by Persha seconded by Guenterberg and carried.

The Treasurer’s Report was given and accepted by a motion made by Guenterberg seconded by Persha and carried.

Checks #15520-15549 in the amount of $15,393.36 and including check #888888 in the amount of $814.51 for the July Social Security and Medicare deposit, for a total of $16,207.87 were presented for payment.  A motion to pay these bills was made by Guenterberg seconded by Persha and carried.

          Under Public Appearances:

David Hechimovich was present and asked to be put on the August Agenda to discuss the Ambulance Contract and Boundaries.

Gene Goodearle asked whether anything has been done about charging extra fees when someone asks to have the Plan Commission meeting at an earlier date.  This will be put on the next Plan Commission Agenda.

Gene also asked whether the Clerk can tell who is visiting the town website.  It can be checked but requires an access url.

Gene asked whether the cracks on Decora Road will be taken care of.  Chairman Schulz said they will take care of it when the Crack Filling gets done.

Chairman Schulz has not received any more snowplow information.

The Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Department has offered all the local municipalities opportunity to sign a consolidation agreement with Dodge County so the county can submit to the Census Bureau all boundary changes for the Boundary and Annexation Survey.  A motion to participate with Dodge County in the Boundary and Annexation Survey was made by Guenterberg second by Persha and carried.

There was a request to have extra hours for the disposal of garbage because of the burning ban. The Board feels this ban will be temporary and since the Saturday disposal is not real busy it is not necessary to be open more days.

The August meeting will be on Wednesday, August 8th 2012 by a motion made by Persha seconded by Guenterberg and carried.

A motion to adjourn was made by Persha seconded by Guenterberg and carried.

After adjournment Don Lechner, a candidate for the Assembly in the 39th District arrived at the Town Hall and made a presentation of his views and opinions for the 39th Assembly District. Don is a fiscally conservative candidate and feels that state government should operate in a conservative manner.
