Checks #15444 in the amount of $380.00 payable to the Iron Ridge Postmaster for stamps and #15445 in the amount of $2050.00 payable to Manning Tree Service for tree & brush cutting were written since the April 9th meeting and were presented for payment approval. The Board wrote up some specifications for a new snowplow truck.
The Board discussed cleaning up St. Michael’s Cemetery. They will try to get someone with the equipment that can get rid of the trees and brush that have overgrown the back part. The trees will have to be sprayed so that they don’t grow back.
The Board had some discussion regarding Woodward Road. The Schildt’s have contacted the Chairman claiming that they never were paid for the land under Woodward Road. The land was dedicated before the road was built. A motion to have our Attorney confer with Pete Thompson and then send her a certified letter informing Mrs. Schildt of the facts was made by Guenterberg seconded by Persha and carried.
There has been a complaint about target shooting being done by Doug Prescher on Lake Drive. The Board discussed the Firearm Ordinance and instructed the Clerk to send a letter to Doug Prescher along with a copy of the Ordinance and a copy of the letter to Randall Thompson.
A complaint about fill that is being dumped on the east side of Eagle Hill Road was received from a resident who lives across the street on the west side of the road. The neighbor contends that Mr. Aschaker needs a permit to fill in the land. According to our Zoning Ordinance there is no need for a permit because they are filling in their own land. There has been some damage to the road that will need to be repaired.
A man that recycles computers has contacted us regarding interest in collecting processing units which he will buy for $5.00 and then recycle. The Board decided not to get involved in this.
The Road Inspection report was discussed. An extensive sign survey was done on Road Inspection because by 2015 all traffic control signs will have to be reflectorized. A lot of the signs were found to be in poor condition and will be replaced now. A motion to accept the Road Inspection Report was made by Guenterberg seconded by Persha and carried.
A motion to appoint Kathryn Persha as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals was made by Guenterberg seconded by Persha and carried.
Dave Feller was present again to discuss the Constable position. He is not able to be around all of the time when he may be needed. He would like the Board to find someone else to do it. The other choice would be getting a contract with the Humane Society. The Board will check into this further. A motion to table discussion on this matter until next month was made by Persha seconded by Guenterberg and carried.
The June meeting will be on Tuesday June 12th by a motion made by Persha seconded by Guenterberg and carried.
Dennis Feller informed the Board about a person that took out some of the boards that hold the water in the fire department fill pond in Neda. Dennis found them and put them back in.
A motion to adjourn was made by Persha seconded by Guenterberg and carried.
